“Ragtime,” the first American musical genre, enjoyed its heyday between 1895 and 1920, and then fell into virtual obscurity until a revival in the 1970s with Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer” made popular by the film The Sting. We will be honoring the life and music of Scott Joplin; who passed away 100 years ago in 1917. This Old Town Music Hall tradition continues with four great pianists, three fine pianos, and of course our 1925 Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ. Reservations are recommended.
